The IFC Green Banking Academy in Europe and Central Asia is inviting you to an online focused discussion How Big Data Can Advance Climate Finance.

The event will feature Maria Teresa Zappia, Deputy CEO at BlueOrchard and a global impact investment manager. Maria Teresa will speak about the current trends and innovations in climate finance and the role of big data in scaling up climate finance and climate insurance.

Peter Cashion, the Head of Climate Finance at the IFC’s Global Financial Institutions Group will open the event. The agenda will also include presentations by IFC’s leading climate finance experts Gursimran Rooprai and Martin Dasek who will speak about how financial institutions can evaluate the impact of their climate finance projects.

The event will be of interest to leaders of the Central Banks; CEOs and senior managers of banks and other financial institutions interested in green finance.

The event is part of a series of online discussions on climate finance delivered by the IFC Green Banking Academy in Europe and Central Asia in partnership with the Government of Austria.
